Terms of Service
Last updated: 29 June 2026
These terms govern business-customer use of TradesWebsites. By accepting a proposal, paying an invoice, or subscribing to a plan, you agree to the proposal scope and these terms. Nothing in these terms limits any rights that cannot legally be limited.
The service
We build, host and manage a website and related tools (lead capture, quoting, client updates) for your trade business, per your chosen plan. Each proposal should state the selected plan, monthly fee, setup fee (if any), inclusions, exclusions, launch target and any specific client responsibilities.
Subscriptions & billing
Plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe or another agreed payment method. Any setup fee, discount, minimum term, renewal date or special payment arrangement must be stated in the proposal or invoice. Unless a proposal states otherwise, you can cancel by giving notice before the next billing date and access continues until the end of the paid period. Fees are exclusive of VAT where applicable.
Cancellation & refunds
Cancellation stops future billing; it does not automatically refund work already delivered, third-party costs, or a setup fee once setup work has started. Any refund or goodwill credit is handled case by case and should be confirmed in writing. If a proposal gives you additional cancellation or refund rights, the proposal terms apply.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate business information and have rights to any content you supply.
- Check and approve service claims, accreditations, testimonials, photos and pricing before launch.
- Only message customers who have consented; use client updates as service messages.
- Comply with applicable law (including PECR and UK GDPR) when contacting people.
- Maintain control of your domain, email, Google Business Profile and third-party accounts unless separately agreed.
Acceptable use
No unlawful, misleading or infringing content; no using the platform to send spam or unsolicited marketing.
Intellectual property
You own your brand, content and customer data. We own the platform and underlying software. Demos are illustrative until you approve a live launch. Third-party stock images, icons, fonts, domains or tools remain subject to their own licences and provider terms.
No guaranteed outcomes
We aim to improve your website, enquiry capture and follow-up process, but we do not guarantee search rankings, lead volume, booked jobs, revenue or profit. Advertising, SEO, call handling and integrations must be separately scoped before they are relied on.
Data processing
Where we process enquiry, quote, booking or customer data for your trade business, we act as your processor and you remain responsible for your own customer notices, lawful basis and marketing permissions. A data processing agreement or equivalent written terms should be agreed before live customer data is routed through the service.
Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the prior 3 months.
